1. Shaping the Vision: The journey starts with the main artist planning an idea. The first ones bringing the idea to life are the ones creating the shapes – the throwers and sculptors who work together.
2. Sculpting Life:The piece is then handed over to a sculptor, who meticulously hand-forms intricate figurative elements, bringing realistic animals and lush foliage to life.
3. The First Embrace of Fire:Once the sculpting is complete, the piece undergoes its first firing in the kiln, followed by a period of cooling, preparing it for the next stage
4. A Canvas of Color:The piece is then given to a painter, who, with precision and artistry, paints the piece, adding layers of color that bring the artwork to vivid life.
5. Glazed and Enthroned:After a second firing, the painted piece is meticulously glazed, adding depth, shine, and resilience.
6. The Final Fire:With its glaze applied, the piece undergoes its final firing, solidifying its beauty and strength.
