On the shores of Zululand, Loggerhead and Leatherback sea turtles breed in the local waters and lay their eggs in the sand. The same species dig nests for their eggs on the Florida beaches and two months later, scores of tiny turtle hatchlings emerge from the sand at night and clamber into the water.
