Jabu was born in 1973 at Mpofana Farm (KZN). She started school at Champagne Valley Primary School near the Drakensburg Mountains. She started working nearby as a painter at Ardmore Ceramics when she was 17 years old. From the year 1990 until 2008 she worked at Ardmore in Escourt, near her home. When Ardmore relocated further south in 2010, Jabu left her young children at home and moved south to Caversham Farm to work. Over the years, she created many wonderful pieces of ceramic art under the guidance of her mentor Fee Halsted. In 2022, Jabu decided to leave Ardmore and move back to her home and, together with her family, formed a new art company called Love Art Ceramics. Jabu is happy to be working creating exceptional works of ceramic art for her new company and living with her family once again.
