Ed with the artists of Love Art Ceramic in South Africa.
In case you haven't noticed, there is another side to our business, and today it is as big as our Royal Doulton business.
I travel to South Africa regularly. Over the years we have built relationships with 40 artists, and we curate and sell their sculptures and decorative pieces from our gallery in North Miami. Right now there are more than 600 pieces in our African ceramics inventory.
When I first started buying African ceramics, the first people I showed them to were my Royal Doulton collectors, and for five years they were the only ones I offered them to. They saw what I saw: animals and figures modeled by hand, painted in full color, each one made only once.
A new shipment has just arrived. Knowing your good taste and how much you enjoy fine things, I wanted you to be among the first to see it.
