Bring Africa Home
Hand-sculpted wildlife ceramics created in South Africa.

Inspired by the Animals of Africa
The animals featured in these sculptures, including elephant, leopard, buffalo, antelope and many others, are the same species that define Africa’s wild landscapes. For many collectors, these animals represent more than beauty. They carry memories of time spent in the bush, the rhythm of the land, and the deep connection people feel when they experience Africa’s wildlife firsthand.
Across the continent, wildlife conservation and responsible land stewardship have played an important role in protecting these species and the habitats they depend on. Healthy wildlife populations support entire ecosystems and provide livelihoods for local communities.
The artists we work with live within this environment. Growing up surrounded by these landscapes and animals, they translate their experiences into sculpture, celebrating Africa’s wildlife through form, texture, and storytelling.
Each piece becomes more than an object. It becomes a lasting connection to Africa’s wildlife and landscapes long after the journey home.

Supporting South African Artists
Pascoe Gallery works directly with ceramic studios in South Africa.
Many artists come from rural communities where opportunities are limited.Through their work, these artists support families, preserve artistic traditions, and share the beauty of African wildlife with collectors around the world.

Each sculpture is entirely handmade. A single piece often involves multiple specialists, sculptors who shape the form, painters who bring the animals to life with intricate brushwork, and studio teams who handle firing and finishing. By collecting these works, clients are directly supporting the artists, their families, and the studios that train and mentor new talent. This system allows experienced artists to pass their knowledge to younger apprentices, ensuring that the craft continues to grow rather than disappear.

Beyond the artistic side, these studios provide stable employment and creative opportunities in regions where such work is rare. For many artists, ceramics has become a path to independence, professional pride, and long-term sustainability.
Pascoe Gallery’s goal is not only to share beautiful objects inspired by Africa’s wildlife, but also to help ensure that the artists behind them can continue creating for generations to come.
