Sabelo was born in 1981 at Drycott in the KwaZulu-Natal area. He started working as an artist back in 2003 at one of the art studios in the KZN. One of the big artists, Ellias Lulanga was his mentor in the art world. Like all our artists, he does this type of work because he loves it. With little educational background, Sabelo says that being an artist has made him find a way through life. “Life is challenging and it is difficult to do what you love and still earn a living out of it, I consider myself very lucky”
